New town clerk for Westbury - up to 41k

Westbury Town Council is seeking to recruit a new Town Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer to replace the current post holder who will be retiring at the end of March 2016. Salary Range: LC3 SCP 43 - 47 (£37,483 - £41,140) Westbury Town Council is looking for a highly motivated, professional clerk to be proactive in fulfilling the Town Council's ambitions for the town of Westbury. The Town Clerk is responsible for day-to-day management of the Town Council's services and facilities and will require excellent, management and leadership skills enabling them to work in partnership with staff, councillors, the local community and external partners. This is an exceptional post requiring candidates with an understanding of local government management and a proven track record in administration, policy, project management, financial management, communication and strategic thinking. Excellent IT skills would be desirable. Evening and weekend attendance at meetings and civic events will be required.
